I know, it’s past my bedtime.
But it’s not like I can go right to sleep after all that stimulation, people. I have to wind down one way or another. So why not let you in on some of the fun?
Tonight was game night at R-house. The second annual, I guess you could say. That meant a big batch of chili with all the fixins, a houseful of friends, some whacky games, and—this year—a few trophies.
I’m not sure which was better. Getting to be a little chilly while eating a hot bowl of chili…
on the screen porch…
Or laughing hysterically with some really great people while our seven kids, aged seven to fourteen, played games together and competed for their own trophies. (By the way, the boys’ team won—sorry girls!)
Oh who am I kidding. It was the people.
Although the trophies were kinda fun too. Even though I didn’t win one.
