Look at the amazing gift I got from Ma and Pa for my birthday.
A long-time friend of our family was done with this beauty and gifted it to us! And my parents paid to have it moved here! And they’re getting it tuned!

And now that we have a piano that isn’t bedraggled and out of tune and buried in the cold, lonely basement, none of us can walk past it without taking a turn on those pearly whites.
Fights have broken out for possession of the bench.
R-boy has been working out the melodies to his favorite rap songs.
R-girl downloaded the sheet music for a challenging pop song and is teaching it to herself, measure by measure.
I’ve dusted off the old hymnals – and gotten much braver about which chords I’ll attempt.
Sometimes for hours on end.
Turns out, piano is the new PlayStation over here.
With a lot nicer soundtrack.
