THE OLDER THE BETTER: STAPLERS

Why buy a wimpy, carbon-copy, plastic stapler at the office supply warehouse,
when you can buy an old, heavy-duty, metal one for a quarter at an estate sale?

One that comes with its own history—and carved-in initials…

Why buy a stress ball
when you can simply
pound a few staples?

Why staple quietly
when you can make
a big noisy scene out of it?

I had forgotten how satisfying my Cadet No. 302 stapler can be—until R-boy came to me tonight with a few stacks of papers that needed fastening.

It was loud. It required a fist. It felt good.

Just sayin’.
