I’ve said it before, I’ll say it again. I’m a word girl.
Words move me.
Intrigue me.
Inspire me.
Speak to me.
And sometimes I can get a little nerdy about it.
Take that phrase, for example, from a song I’ve heard a few times recently.
What grabs me is that I happen to know there aren’t very many phrases out there that can encompass both the past and present tense within the exact same words.
You never did let go of me.
You never do let go of me.
And,
because, in this song,
the “you” is someone
I love
being held by,
that is
awesome.
