Today was sunny. Sunday. And time for a field trip. So this afternoon, R-kids and I headed to MIA. Turns out it was Family Day, so we got to stand within inches of a 4000-year-old Egyptian model, play the ancient game of mancala, and complete an African-art scavenger hunt – all while listening to live music. The entire place was bubbling. It was good for the soul.
