SNOWED IN

When life is dumping and blowing an additional 15 inches of snow on top of you, after you have already had snow up to your eyeballs (Literally. Check the totals.), then perhaps the only thing left to do is light some candles,

snuggle up in bed with some homemade chicken soup and your favorite shows on DVR,

Oh, and precede all of that with a three-hour nap.

I do realize that doing all of the above might be easier if you are a single mom and the kids are off with their dad for an overnight. Or if you kick your family out of the house for a while. Or lock yourself in your bedroom.

Whatever it takes for you to find a few moments of peace and quiet, I hope you got your fill this weekend. And, if not, there’s always tonight…

As for me, I’m still snowed in, and it’s still snowing. Eventually I’ll head out there and start the shoveling. I’m just not. quite. yet. ready.

Oh Julie – Idaho is like spring this winter. I feel so sorry for you! I have guys landscaping my yard and building a pond in the back right now. I cannot even imagine dealing with all that snow you have! Good grief. Great blog. Love the photos. And tell Alex her photos are fab. also. Hope you are doing good.

I am still probably the only one that loves a snowstorm…..being home, warm and cozy and being able to chose to stay home…but at the same time sad for those who have to weather the weather! Your blog is right on…..comforting for everyone!

Agreed! I worked all weekend, had to drive home in the blizzard at 8:30 last night, white-knuckling the steering wheel the whole way home, and now am tucked in my house, still in my pjs with nowhere to go, catching up on blogs! Think I probably need to light a candle now though! Hope you’re staying warm!
