Sometimes the very thing
that was so tedious
and tangled
and infuriating
in the moment
(like, say,
checking every single bulb on the strand
to try to find the short
that’s making the lights turn off randomly every few minutes –
so you can please-oh-please avoid having to run to the store
for more lights)
when seen from
a new perspective,
can look a lot more
calm and bright
than it felt.
And maybe that’s good.
