This Saturday I escaped for a few hours with one of my favorite people
and a few of our favorite things
to a real, live
happy place.
It was painfully (please can’t I take it all home with me) overwhelming.
And yet so worth the torture.
I’m going to show you two
just two
of my favorites,
starting with
this.
Word nerd
and city girl
that I am,
You’re looking at vintage calico route signs from UK trolleys and buses—the very fabric rolls that drivers would crank to display the next stop.
Thank you Home Economics for the angst and inspiration brought on by these British route signs that would be so perfect up here in the loft office behind my desk or in my dining room or really anywhere that I can maybe eventually afford to invest $400 or so.
Next stop, please….!
The whole Bonanza was loaded with all kinds of funky, foo-foo, kitchy, blingy, junky, and beautiful jewelry from vendors of every shape and size.
I found some of my favorites here.
From this girl.
Meet Gretchen Schaumann, junk jewelry genius behind Mimi-Toria’s.
And friend.
I escaped her booth with just a few extra pieces of decoration upon myself.
As for R-girl…?
She knew it
when she saw it.
The just-right chair for the desk in her room.
Anyone else make it to the Junk Bonanza????
