I DON'T GET IT

I don't get it | trey speegleIt’s Memorial Day weekend. Time to remember people who are no longer in our lives.

It’s kind of what every day has been for me since AHBL and, quite frankly, I’m tired of it. And then there’s the problem of last year’s Memorial Day weekend.

Ugh.

I don’t usually say much about AHBL, but I’ll just say this: A year ago on this weekend, someone I trusted did something so mean, so heartless, so unfathomable…

I just literally don’t get it.

I know I’m not alone in this – the “not getting it” part. We’ve all lost someone, endured something, grieved something. Or we still are. Or we will.

Why do some people choose to live (and die) courageously and honorably, while other people choose to abuse and destroy others? And how do those people even pull it off? Where is their heart? Where is God? Why does he not step in and stop the horridness? Why do bad things happen to good people? Why is there so much loss in life? Why.

Here’s to asking. And remembering. Even the hard stuff.
