Last night after the food had been thoroughly enjoyed (twice) and before we headed back through the woods and over the river, Ma pulled out the slide projector and we went for a stroll down memory lane.
With some sweet Christmas landmarks along the way…
One of my first holidays, in New Jersey. I love that neither me nor the tree are wearing a skirt.
That moment just before the Jack-in-the-box popped and happily freaked me out.
I *might* have liked this Christmas thing a little better when I had it to myself.
Showing off my winter fashions.
I’ll take one of each of those coats – in women’s medium, please!
Chicago now, and – hey – this sharing-Christmas-with-my-brothers thing isn’t so bad after all. (They don’t want a thing to do with my toys.)
And off we go to Minneapolis
with –
wait for it –
full-on retro…
Now I could just use some serious braces to go with that velour v-neck.
Well friends, Thanksgiving is over; Christmas is coming. Or is it already here? I’m not sure.
Anyway, I think I’m finally ready. Are you??
Maybe this weekend R-kids and I will make some Christmas memories of our own.
Because moments like this
are priceless.
Don’t you think?
