PERFECT PAPER FLOWER

A few weeks ago I received a text from my friend Laura. “If I was to make you a gift, which paper do u prefer? Map or words?”

(What?? Hmmmm. Okay, I’ll go with it.)

ME: Oh my gosh, so sweet!!! So hard to pick. I love both. You pick.

ME AGAIN: Actually I think map.

LAURA: Okay! Blues, greens, or oranges?

ME: Oh my so hard! I think blues. : )

A few days later…

I received this…

for my birthday!

Isn’t it so great?

I *love* that Laura used both words *and* maps – because I seriously couldn’t decide. And the words she chose make me giggle.

A few rooms in R-house were fighting for possession of this sweet paper flower. My pink bedroom/studio won out and I finally got it hung.

I love how the colors play so nicely with the other goodies I’ve got up here.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Laura.

I love it!!!

P.S. Be sure to check out Laura’s new blog, Renew My Home. She is amazingly talented at finding and creating beauty in everyday things – and she has impeccable taste. She even provides a few tutorials so you can recreate her inspired ideas. I *love* her embellished military bags. Maybe this busy girl will soon post how to make these awesome paper flowers! We can hope!
