I’VE GOT MAIL

Yesterday I got a real live piece of mail, and not the e-kind. With a stamp, and a hand-written address, and a personal message inside—from a person I actually know, and love.

There are so many things I love about this—but first and foremost it’s got to be the touching and feeling of a piece of paper that someone else took the time and energy to rip out of a magazine and stuff into an envelope (and find my address and write it out and find a stamp and put it on and find a mailbox) and ship off to me.

Plus, if I could just spread that yummy raspberry rug across my cold bedroom floor, winter would be so much more cheerful and cozy this year! And the pink chair…. Where to put it? Across from the aqua chair in my bedroom? In the little corner of my dining room? No, I’m thinking it would need to be front and center in the living room, at least until the pink couch arrives.

*sigh of love*

And what’s this? A back side to the page? This just doesn’t happen with my e-kind-of-mail!

Well looky here. More shades of pink and another permanent obsession of mine that I have possibly not mentioned before.

Metal things on wheels.

Actually, anything on wheels, but especially if it’s metal.

Hmmm. That gives me ideas, but it’s another post for another day….

For now, thanks to my letter-friend for thinking of me! And just to be clear, I savor inspiration of any kind, any time—with an e- in front of it or not.

Leave it in the comments!
