I. CAN’T. TAKE. MUCH. MORE.

I snapped this pic just a few mornings ago up here in the loft office. On a day in late March.

A
Day
In
Late
March,
People.

It is officially spring, and yet, here we sit. Locked in a world of ice and snow and frigid cold. Covered in frost.

As one friend lamented today, it’s as if we were stuck in Narnia under the spell of the White Witch. Yes. It’s exactly like that.

But now, we are one week further into March.

And it is Holy Week.

So, although it looks like we will most definitely be celebrating Easter with at least a foot of snow on the ground, and although my faith is waning, and although I’m still wearing my Ugg boots and fingerless gloves indoors,

I believe.

I do.

I believe that this too shall pass.
I believe in hope.
I believe in miracles.
I believe that I will, once again, someday, dig my bare toes into lush, green grass.
I believe that lush, green grass exists, even though I can barely remember it.
I believe in the unbelievable.
I believe that when things look utterly dead and hopeless, life is just around the corner.
And I believe that three days can change everything.

Especially this week.

And, so, I wait. I watch. I dream.

Holding what is, I hope for more.

Join me?

xxoo

P.S. Check out this Holy Week post by Steve Wiens – with props to the one and only Anne Lamott – for three prayers worth praying.
