The good news is that we can run the water this morning without running the risk of it all backing up into the basement.
The bad news is it already did back up into the basement yesterday, and I still have a huge mess to clean up.
It’s so tempting to play If I Can’t See It, It Isn’t There since I could potentially avoid the basement for, oh, a week or so until it’s all dried up. I used to be really good at that game. Did whole huge parts of my life that way.
OK, but I won’t. I will get to that mess tonight. For now I’m enjoying a big, clean glass of room-temperature water (the only way I drink it!) while I work.
