MAKING THE ANGELS SING

Today some friends and I were talking about the things that make us feel most alive. Most fully here. Most completely ourselves.

Do you know yours?

Have you ever stopped to notice the certain circumstances/activities/people/situations that bring out the best and the most of who you are? The moments in your life that might require energy – but that somehow…leave you energized?

The things you do that – as one friend put it – make the angels sing?

I know mine.

I mean, I can’t say if the angels are singing, but I know the things that make my heart come alive. A few of those include writing, and creating, and designing, and organizing closets (seriously), and connecting with people. And New York City.

Some would say it’s those very things – the things that happen when you’re in the zone – or maybe the things that put you in the zone – that reveal your purpose here in this world.

What if the whole goal is to find – and do – the things that specifically exhilarate and inspire you personally? Because no one else can. And because the world needs {we need} what only you can offer.

What if those things are actually the sweet spot between feeling fulfilled…and making a difference?

What if?

P.S. See that sweet angel on my pretend mantle piece? This Christmas, that’s another thing that’s making my heart come alive. Turns out, lots of things do. : )
